Prince Naif Bin Abdul Aziz, Second Deputy Premier, Interior Minister and Chairman of the Supreme Haj Council, says the country's people can be proud of the services being offered to pilgrims visiting the holy sites. He said that the country's people can thank Allah for the “honor of serving the Holy Haram and Prophet's Mosque”. He said it was also an honor for the leaders, Makkah and Madina residents, and the Tawafa establishments, to serve those coming on Haj and Umrah. Prince Naif made the comments during a reception for Dr. Fuad Al-Farsy, Minister of Haj, the ministry's undersecretaries, and heads of the board of directors of the Tawafa Establishments, at his office in Makkah at the weekend. Prince Naif said the services of the Kingdom speak for themselves, although more work needs to be done. “Still more is needed from us. We need to carry out new projects every year. We should work together. Each of us should work hard in the service of the guests of Allah. We should give a good impression of the Kingdom's people especially those who reside in Makkah and Madina.” He said some people believe that the Kingdom benefits financially from pilgrims. “On the contrary, the Kingdom has been spending billions on services to enable them to perform their rituals in ease and comfort. The government offers them free services with the exception of housing and food. We offer our brothers, who come from all corners of the world, the best possible services.” He said several world leaders have expressed their admiration for the quality of services offered by the Kingdom and its success in handling large crowds.
