Recent technological developments have seen a surge in the use of Bluetooth wireless devices, which are replacing mobile in-built speakers in the market. Creative Technology Ltd., has introduced an innovative product, Creative D200, a one-piece wireless speaker system that delivers superior sound quality at a highly competitive price. According to vendors at mobile phone accessory shops, audio enthusiasts often driven away by prohibitive prices are finding these innovative technologies affordable. The D200 supports the A2DP (Wireless Stereo Bluetooth) and AVRCP (Bluetooth Remote Control) profiles under Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR (Enhanced Data Rate) and works at a range of up to 10 meters in open space. Although half as heavy as the flagship ZiiSound D5, and costing half as much, the D200 provides double the portability, aesthetics and performance of speakers in its class. “It is perfect for the budget-challenged but demanding audiophile who wants to enjoy music minus the complications,” said a vendor at a mobile phone accessory shop. The mobile phone market is being inundated with products such as the D200, which is part of Creative's full range of wireless speaker systems led by the award-winning ZiiSound D5, the Creative D100 and the Creative Inspire S2 Wireless, which received “Best in CES 2010” recognition from the Bluetooth Special Interest Group. Housed in a glossy black single-shell chassis, the speaker can be paired with the iPhone and other mobile phones, the iPod and other portable media players, the iPad, netbooks, notebooks, and any compatible stereo Bluetooth device. It includes an integrated bass port located at the rear. The system incorporates the proprietary ‘apt-X' audio codec and weighs in at 1.65 kilograms. It features in-house acoustics tuning and modeling; high-performance drivers and digital amplifiers; and an integrated AUX-IN for connecting to other non-Bluetooth audio devices.
