A total of 952 student graduates from the Qur'an Memorization Charitable Society in Makkah, along with its former chairman, the late Ahmad Muhammad Salaah Jamjoum, and teachers of more than 25 years, were honored at the Grand Mosque, Tuesday. Dr. Abdul Aziz Al-Khudairi, Undersecretary of the Makkah Emir's Office, who attended the event, said the Central Haj Committee is currently studying plans to ensure that the recitation of the Holy Qur'an during Taraweeh starts and finishes at the same time at all mosques in the country. He said this study is taking place with the cooperation of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, Call and Guidance. After the ceremony, Al-Khudairi said the large number of student graduates is an indication of the Kingdom's vision for the future. Saudi Arabia cares for the memorization, teaching and implementation of the Qur'an. The society in Makkah, he said, is applying the proper approach. Those responsible for its programs and activities are loyal and have vowed to serve the Book of Allah. He added that the country's leadership and the province's Emir want Makkah to remain a distinguished city. “Dealing with the Haram area means dealing with a city of more than two million people,” he said. He added that the government has introduced all the necessary facilities to improve the level of services for pilgrims. “Makkah's projects have all the financial and human resources support from the government,” he said. “We as executives must work to achieve the aspirations of our leaders. All Ramadan plans are progressing as planned,” he said. Al-Khudairi said daily reports show the plans of the security forces in the Tawaf area have succeeded in helping control crowding around the Holy Ka'ba.
