The selection committee of Judson C. Hickey Scientific Excellence Award instituted by the journal of prosthetic dentistry was awarded to Saudi Dr. Saad Abdullah Al-Harbi. He won the award in recognition for his significant achievement in the field of dental implant research and for his continuous international efforts in advancing implant dentistry. The award is the most prestigious prize in implant prosthetic dentistry. Dr. Al-Harbi expressed his delight over clinching the award and disclosed that most of his research was devoted to the development of computer use in implant and prosthetic dentistry to ensure better therapeutic results for the patient as soon as possible. Dr. Al-Harbi has developed a program of education on prosthetic dentistry in Arabic language in collaboration with the US-based Implant Vision magazine. Dr. Al-Harbi has recently been chosen as a member of the editorial board of the General Dentistry journal where he is assisting in evaluating various researches and studies on the prosthetic dentistry in America. Dr. Al-Harbi has a fellowship in implant prosthetic dentistry from University of Texas and obtained a degree of Master of Science in clinical investigations.
