King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, has issued an urgent order for the payment of SR1.2 billion to all families covered by social insurance in the Kingdom. The money is meant to help needy families meet their needs for Eid Al-Fitr. Dr. Yousuf Bin Ahmad Al-Othaimeen, Minister of Social Affairs, who announced the order, expressed his deep thanks and appreciation to King Abdullah for his noble gesture. He stressed that the King is paying a great deal of attention to the social security sector because it provides the essential requirements to citizens including the disabled, the elderly, patients, divorcees, abandoned wives, orphans, prisoners' families and those whose breadwinners have died. He said the payment will be carried out in coordination with the ministries of Finance and Social Affairs. He said this urgent Eid money is being paid along with the regular monthly pension to all social security beneficiaries.
