At least two quakes rocked parts of Isabela province in Northern Luzon early Sunday and late Saturday, but no casualty or damage was initiaally reported. The tremors in Isabela followed a magnitude 3.2 earthquake that shook Bohol province in the central Visayan region Saturday afternoon. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) Sunday recorded a magnitude-4.4 quake at 12:55 A.M. Sunday near Palanan town in Isabela. The quake was tectonic, and its epicenter was 32 kms southwest of Palanan. It was felt at Intensity II in Palanan. A similar quake was recorded in the area before midnight Saturday. Phivolcs said the earlier quake measured at magnitude 4.
