Former president of Pakistan Pervez Musharraf is all set to float a new political party next month. Musharraf would launch the All-Pakistan Muslim League (APML) party by the end of September in London, The Nation quoted his former spokesman Maj. Gen. (retd) Rashid Qureshi as saying Saturday. The new party would aim at bringing all factions of the Pakistan Muslim League (PML) on one political platform. Qureshi said it has been left to the APML Central Working Committee (CWC) to decide the timing of Musharraf's return to Pakistan. He dismissed reports that Begum Sehba Musharraf was currently visiting Pakistan to facilitate the launching process of the APML. Qureshi said Pir Pagara has already given his backing to the new party while talks were under way with former federal minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, who is currently leading his Awami Muslim League (AML). He said the CWC of the party is headed by former federal minister Ch Shahbaz from Jhelum. Other members of the CWC are former federal minister Dr Sher Afgan, Dr Amjad, Barrister Saif, Ch Fawad and Ahmed Raza Kasuri.
