Civil Defense rescuers pulling the camels out of the septic tank in Hadda, south of Jeddah, on Friday night. The operations room received an appeal for help from citizens and several teams rushed to the scene south of Jeddah and formulated a plan to save the animals. Rescuers pumped water from the tank, secured the camels with thick ropes and used a heavy winch to haul them out. According to eyewitnesses, more than 50 camels were crossing a road near camel sheds north of Old Makkah-Jeddah Road when four of them fell into the septic tank.
