The Houston Astros completed their first four-game sweep at Philadelphia in 11 years by winning 5-1 in the National League Thursday, putting another dent in the Phillies' playoff ambitions. Houston starter Wandy Rodriguez (10-12) pitched seven sharp innings, allowing only one run and striking out six. He has a 1.79 ERA since June 24. Carlos Lee homered for the Astros, who did sweep in the Phillies over four games in Houston last year, but hadn't done so in Philadelphia since 1999. Philadelpia, NL pennant winners two years running, fell three games behind first-placed Atlanta in the NL East and trail San Francisco by half a game in the wild-card standings, with 35 to play. The Astros are the only NL team with a winning record (30-16) against Philadelphia since 2004. Phillies starter Kyle Kendrick (8-7) allowed four runs in six innings. Marlins 11, Mets 4: In New York, Hanley Ramirez feasted on New York pitching yet again to power Florida to victory. Ramirez hit a two-run homer and finished with three hits, going 10 for 15 over the series. He's been a pain for the Mets all season, driving in 14 runs and scoring 15 times against them. Marlins rookie Logan Morrison reached base four times, including a two-run double during the seven-run sixth inning. Florida starter Anibal Sanchez (11-8) got the win despite allowing four runs over five sloppy innings. New York stranded 12 runners and lost shortstop Jose Reyes to a muscle strain in the second inning. Mets starter Jonathon Niese (8-6) matched his career high with eight strikeouts but blew a 4-0 lead and left in the sixth. He allowed more runs (seven) than hits (five). Diamondbacks 11, Padres 5: In San Diego, Ian Kennedy struck out a career-high 12 to steer Arizona to a comfortable win over San Diego. Coming off a start in which he allowed a career-worst 10 hits in five innings, Kennedy (8-9) pitched seven scoreless innings and retired his final 10 batters, five by strikeouts. Arizona's Stephen Drew finished a torrid series by hitting a three-run homer and an RBI double. The Padres trailed 11-0 going into the eighth before being spared their worst loss of the season, thanks to Adrian Gonzalez's grand slam. San Diego's division lead dipped to six games over idle San Francisco. The Diamondbacks, who had lost their previous 10 games in San Diego, did most of their damage against Padres starter Kevin Correia (10-9), who allowed nine runs in 3 1-3 innings. Dodgers 7, Brewers 1: In Milwaukee, Casey Blake hit a two-run homer to help Los Angeles to victory over Milwaukee, and a three-game sweep. Six Dodgers pitchers combined to limit the Brewers to two hits. Reliever Ronald Belisario (2-1) took the win. Leading 4-1, the Dodgers broke the game open in the seventh with three runs off Yovani Gallardo (11-6) and reliever Todd Coffey. It was their first three-game sweep at Milwaukee since 2003. The Brewers lost their fourth straight overall. Nationals 11, Cardinals 10, 13 innings: In Washington, Albert Pujols hit his 400th career home run, but came out on the losing side as Washington edged St. Louis in 13 innings. The 30-year-old Pujols homered leading off the fourth, becoming the third-youngest player to reach 400 homers behind Alex Rodriguez (29) and Ken Griffey Jr. (30). In the bottom of the 13th, Nyjer Morgan was hit by a pitch from Blake Hawksworth (4-8) while squaring to bunt leading off the inning, then advanced to third on Alberto Gonzalez's one-out single. With the infield in, Ian Desmond bounced a grounder up the middle to drive in the winning run. St. Louis has lost three straight, falling four games behind NL Central leader Cincinnati, and 1-1/2 behind wild
