Shabab bounced back in the third round of the Saudi Zain Professional League to collect its first three points against its guest Al-Ittifaq at Prince Faisal Bin Fahd Stadium Tuesday. The team, which has recently qualified to the quarterfinals of the AFC Champions League, has so far lost six points in the Saudi League. Striker Nasser Al-Shamrani scored twice to give his team the important 2-1 win. In the second half, substitute Abdu Otaif made a perfect backheel to Shamrani to put Shabab in the lead in the 67th minute. At the 89th minute, Argentinean striker Sebastian Tagliabue of Ittifaq faced Shabab goalkeeper Waleed Abdullah. The latter was able to foil the attempt. However, Yousof Salem of Ittifaq got the ball to kick into the goal. Three minutes later, Nasser Al-Shamrani succeeded to score from the spot after substitute Abdu Otaif was brought down in the area. Shabab is now tenth in the standing with three points while Ittifaq is seventh with the same number points. With a 2-2 result, Al-Ta'awon shared points with its gust Al-Nasr at King Abdullah Sports City Stadium. Badr Al-Khamees put Ta'awon in the lead in the 76th minute before Sa'ad Al-Harthi of Nasr could level the score in the 91st minute. Mohammed Al-Sahlawi of the guest team put Nasr ahead a minute later. However, Mohammed Al-Rashid of Ta'awon leveled the score in the 95th minute. At Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Stadium, Al-Fateh defeated its host Al-Ahli 2-1. Ahmed Al-Hadhrami put Fateh in the lead in the 28th minute before Emad Al-Hosani leveled the score in the 58th minute.
