Prince Saud Bin Abdullah Bin Thunayyan, Chairman of the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu and Honorary Chairman of the National Association of Saudi Retirees (NASR), held talks with the NASR board of directors in Riyadh and addressed the problems facing Saudi retirees and senior citizens. During the meeting, Prince Saud was accompanied by Prince Naif Bin Abdul Aziz, Second Deputy Premier and the Minister of Interior. Bidah Al-Qahtani, board member of NASR, said Prince Saud confirmed his commitment to support and provide solutions to the problems and concerns of retirees. “NASR brought to the attention of Prince Saud our long-standing request that the minimum amount of pension for retirees be increased to SR3,000 per month, including an increment of five percent every year,” Al-Qahtani said. He said Prince Saud promised to look into the issue.
