The stabbed teenager's brother called authorities and said an ambulance needed to be sent immediately. In another telephone call, he told his family that his brother was lying in a pool of blood in a neighboring street. The family rushed the injured teenager to a nearby hospital, but doctors could not save his life, authorities said. Doctors confirmed that the teenager sustained three deep stab wounds, one of which was near his heart and led to his death, according to officials. Security authorities said they learned about the incident after receiving a report from the hospital that the teenager had been brought there and had died after having been stabbed. The dead youth's family was tense and angry, which led security authorities to take immediate action to prevent another fight or an act of revenge, police said. Authorities surrounded the area with security patrols and a force from Jeddah Police while investigators worked to determine the causes of the incident and arrest those who were responsible for the murder, police said.
