Shahrani won the first Tahjeer Championship in Abha recently after the event was added to the motor sports events such as autocross, karting and desert rally. Mohammad Ali Al-Kaabi came second and Mabrook Askar Al-Hammami third. The winners were also given cash awards – SR3000 for the winner, SR2000 for the runner-up and SR1000 for the first runner-up. Tahjeer, “car stone decoration”, championship was held, under the patronage of Prince Faisal Bin Khalid, Emir of Asir, at Habla in Abha. More than 20 competitors took part in the championship for three days. This competition was supported by the Emirate of Asir Region, Tourism Activation Commission, Abdul Latif Jameel Company Ltd., Mobil 1 and Arab Motors Channel (media sponsor). Abdullah Bakhashab Establishment for motorsport development included this event as one of the motorsport events during Abha Festival 2010. Bakhashab said: “Tahjeer” is one of the hobbies which helps the youth to highlight their talents and creativity in various forms of fine art. This will help them develop their skills. Points were awarded according to the rules formulated by the evaluating committee. The competitor had to take into consideration of the hygiene of the area around the car, the vehicle's height, the visual aesthetics and the quality of stones used. __
