The Special Licensure Board Examination for architects, engineers, accountants and electricians will be given by the Professional Regulations Commission (PRC) in November, the Philippine embassy in Riyadh said Thursday. The embassy, which received a letter from PRC chairman Nicolas P. Lapena, said the commission will administer the simultaneous tests for qualified overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) in the Kingdom and other Middle East countries. The tests will be given in Doha, Qatar; Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, Al-Khobar and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on Nov. 16, 17 and 18 this year, the embassy said. Those who want to take the examinations are advised to visit the embassy website “http://www.philembassy-riyadh.org” to see the requirements and other information. Application forms can be downloaded from the PRC website “http://www.prc.gov.ph,” the embassy said. Applicants are required to submit their filled-up application forms to an accredited Philippine Professional Organization (PPO) in their areas before Sept. 30 so they could be sent to the PRC head office in Manila on or before Oct. 5.
