The General Court here has sent several letters to hospitals in and outside the region asking doctors about the possibility of cutting the spinal cord of a man indicted of causing paralysis to another man in a fight two-and-a-half years ago. The case has been delayed because the paralyzed person is insisting that his attacker suffer the same injury. The indicted man, according to the public right in the case, has to undergo an imprisonment of seven months. The verdict concerning the private right involving the man who was paralyzed as a result of an attack by a cleaver during a fight, is still to be resolved. The 22-year-old paralyzed Abdulaziz Al-Mutairi insists on punishing the man who hit him in the back with a cleaver and injured his spinal cord. “He confessed to hitting me with the cleaver during interrogations,” said Al-Mutairi, adding that King Khaled Hospital is of the opinion that it was possible to cut the spinal cord and cause paralysis medically through specialist centers.
