Fourteen people were arrested here Friday for their involvement in 140 robberies – often at gun-point – across the city at different times. The suspects, all Saudis except one, monitored shops and pharmacies, waiting for people to go into the store while leaving their car motors running. The thieves would then steal the car and use it in other robberies, said a police spokesman. The suspects confessed to the crimes and their statements were documented. Other procedures are now being completed, the spokesman added.
