A murder case that caused a dispute between two tribes for 100 years has been resolved. On behalf of his tribe, the Sheikh of Aal Shakl Aal Misfir Al-Karb tribe announced a pardon for their son's killer, who was from Aal Hassan Aal Misfir Al-Karb tribe. He made the announcement in the presence of 3,000 men including philanthropists, prominent people and men from the two tribes. Sheikh Mabkhout Bin Askar Al-Nowfi Al-Karbi came forward and declared that his tribe would accept any sentence and presented the other tribe with the keys for two 2010 SUVs, two young camels and SR20,000 cash. Relatives of the dead man then asked two men from Aal Hassan to accept the conciliation and they did so. They asked for two guarantors and two prominent men from the region came forward to provide their guarantees. After consultation, the dead man's relatives announced their consent to pardon the killer, white flags were raised for Aal Shakl for their heroic and honorable stance toward their brothers and they dined together at a lunch banquet. The conciliation ceremony was attended by Sheikh Suroor Bin Rabiah Al-Say'ari, Sheikh Ali Bin Al-Rub' Al-Say'ari, sheikhs of other tribes, prominent people and tribesmen.
