It is mandatory for workers at 240 public hospitals and health centers throughout the Kingdom to work two shifts during Ramadan, Dr. Khaled Marghalani, Ministry of Health spokesman, has said. The morning session starts at 10 A.M. and ends at 1 P.M., and the evening shift runs from 9 P.M. to 1 A.M., he said. Marghalani said working hours for employees of the Ministry of Health, health directorates and administrations functioning under the ministry are fixed at five hours throughout the holy month, as per the royal order and a memo from the Ministry of Civil Service. Dr. Abdul Aziz Al-Rabeah, Minster of Health, gave directives to all directors of hospitals and health centers to strictly abide by Ramadan working hours.
