Four imams of the Grand Mosque will take turns to lead worshippers in Taraweeh prayers (special evening prayers during Ramadan in which portions of the Qur'an are recited). Sheikhs Abdul Rahman Al-Sudais, Saud Al-Shuraim, Abdullah Al-Jihani and Maher Al-Me'aigli were approved by Sheikh Saleh Al-Hussayyen, General President of the Presidency of the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques. During the odd-numbered days, Sheikhs Al-Sudais and Al-Jihani will lead the prayers while Sheikhs Al-Shuraim and Al- Me'aigli will do so on even-numbered days. Sheikhs Al-Sudais and Al-Shuraim will lead in Tahajjud prayer, which is also known as late night prayer. Completing the Qur'an, which will be led by Sheikh Al-Sudais, will take place on the 28th night of Ramadan. Fajr prayer, which is offered at dawn, will be led by Sheikh Saleh Bin Humaid; Dhuhr (noon) prayer by Sheikh Osama Khayyat; and Asr (afternoon) prayer by Sheikh Khaled Al-Ghamdi. Sheikhs Abdul Rahman Al-Sudais and Faisal Al-Ghamdi will take turns leading Maghrib prayer, at dusk, while Sheikh Saleh Aal Talib will lead Isha prayer before the Taraweeh.
