A youth festival was launched here this week as part of the acquainting program of the passing out secondary students. The event was organized under the supervision of the King Saud University and exclusively sponsored by Toyota Yaris Club of Abdul Latif Jameel Company. The program was expected to benefit more than 7,000 secondary students in Riyadh. Dr. Abdul Aziz Bin Muhammad Al-Uthman, Dean at King Saud University, the program was a contribution from the university in support of national development. As for Saudization, these programs will help in finding better job opportunities for university graduates. Saleh Al-Shamrani, chief of the programs and activities, explained that preparatory year aimed at upgrading the skills of students in English language, computer, communication, leadership, ethics and writing reports in addition to bridging the gap between public and university education and improving the quality of graduates in light of the challenges of globalization and competition in the labor market. Mohammad Ba Hassan, ALJ public relations and events manager said Abdul Latif Jameel Company and Yaris club sponsorship of the program comes under the company's plans to activate programs and youth activities in scientific, social and cultural fields in various regions of the Kingdom. __
