Two girls drowned and two of their friends were rescued by Border Guards from a no-swimming area at Ras Muhaisen beach in the north of Al-Qunfudah Governorate, Tuesday. Saleh Bin Muhammad Al-Shehri, assistant spokesman for the Border Guards in Makkah Province, said the four girls went into the water in a dangerous area where swimming is banned and were swept out to sea by the strong waves. The rescued girls were taken to Al-Qunfudah General Hospital, where one of them is said to be in critical condition. A Border Guards soldier was also hospitalized due to extreme exhaustion.
