Three Asian workers had a providential escape from a fire that broke out Monday in a fodder warehouse in Umm Addoum town, north of Taif. The three were saved by a 20-year-old man who knocked on the door of their room to wake them when he saw flames and smoke in the area which was full of dry grass. The three emerged safely at the last minute. Civil Defense reports said the fire completely gutted the workers' room and destroyed more than 1,600 bundles of fodder. Trucks parked inside the warehouse were moved before the fire reached them.
