Jeddah Mayoralty has set the minimum regulatory area for private projects in northern Obhur at 50,000 sq. meters in a bid to attract private development projects. These projects are expected to increase the area's population which is currently only 50 people per hectare. Aabed Al-Jidaani, Director General of the mayoralty's Construction Regulations and Licenses Department, said private sector investors' projects can contribute to increasing the number of residents in area. He also noted that the mayoralty was exerting efforts to increase commercial activity in northern Obhur.
