Authorities have launched a probe into a fight between inmates of Arar Central Prison. Colonel Abdulsalam Al-Humaid, Acting Director General of Prisons in the Northern Frontier Province, said the situation was under control and “the incident was minor”. Sources said one of the inmates was injured and taken to a hospital. Action has also been initiated against five inmates believed to have been directly involved in the fight. The prison ward houses criminals involved in drug cases and thefts.
