“Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon” producer Hsu Li-kong, a key figure in nurturing Taiwanese film talent, has been awarded one of the Chinese film industry's top honors. Organizers of Taiwan's Golden Horse Awards - Chinese-language cinema's equivalent of the Oscars - said in a statement Wednesday that Hsu will receive their lifetime achievement award. Hsu's producer credits include Lee's “Pushing Hands,” “The Wedding Banquet,” “Eat Drink Man Woman” and Tsai's “Rebels of the Neon God” and “Vive L'Amour.”
