Outshining 22 racing teams, rookie Snickers Hyundai Racing Team, led by Faisal Al-Sharif, won the Saudi Arabia Motor Federation Autocross Championship 2010 in 6-Cylinder stock cars category recently. Faisal Al-Sharif came first in both the first and second rounds of the championship – the Baja-Hail and Jeddah legs respectively. He also came second in the final phase which took place in Riyadh, which won him the championship title even without participating in the fourth lap, which is scheduled to take place later in the Eastern region. Al-Sharif bagged the crown on board the stock 6-cylinder, 3.8 liter engine Hyundai Genesis coupe 2010 that produces 305 hp. On this occasion, Al-Sharif expressed his sincere thanks to the team's sponsors “Snickers chocolate, Castrol Oil, Naghi Hyundai Motors and Saudi Gear e-magazine” for their magnanimous support. He also thanked the team members under the leadership of Mohammed Al-Sofiani for their efforts which enabled him to win the championship. Al-Sofiani, hailed the performance of Al-Sharif and congratulated him on his victory and wished him greater success in the upcoming championships. He also expressed gratitude to the Saudi Arabian Motor Federation (SAMF), headed by Engineer Mishaal Al-Sudairy for their efforts to promote motorsport in Saudi Arabia and the support to the Saudi drivers. The emergence of several Saudi drivers such as Ali Assi and Faisal Al-Sharif of Hyundai Snickers Racing Team, Abdulhadi Al-Qahtani and Saeed Al-Mori, Red Bull decided to add Saudi Arabia to the list of countries that host the Red Bull Middle East Championship namely: Kuwait, Bahrain, UAE, Oman, Jordan and Lebanon. Red Bull successfully conducted the Middle East Championship in 2008 and 2009.
