In one of the worst air disasters in general on Nov. 12 1996, an Ilyushin IL-76 cargo plane from Kazakhstan collided in midair with a Saudia 747 near Delhi; all 349 aboard both planes are killed. The Kazakh crew had disobeyed instructions, and neither airplane was equipped with collision
