Donnie Murphy delivered his second game-ending hit of the week for Florida, giving the Marlins a 7-6 win over the Atlanta Braves in the National League Friday. Atlanta closer Billy Wagner (5-1) loaded the bases in the ninth with one out. He struck out Dan Uggla for the second out before a passed ball by the catcher allowed the Marlins to tie the game. Murphy, who hit a game-winning homer to beat Colorado on Monday, then drove a pitch from Wagner into center field for the victory. Florida's Jose Veras (2-0) earned the win despite squandering the lead in the ninth inning for the Marlins. Phillies 6, Rockies 0: In Philadelphia, Roy Halladay cruised through eight innings and led Philadelphia over Colorado. Halladay (11-8) allowed only one walk and struck out nine. He threw 116 pitches in his first win since July 5. Philadelphia pitchers have tossed 20 straight scoreless innings the past two days. Mets 6, Dodgers 1: In Los Angeles, Johan Santana tossed seven strong innings as New York ended a four-game losing streak with a rare offensive burst that was too much for Los Angeles. Santana (8-5) allowed just one run and one walk. He has allowed no more than one run while pitching at least seven innings in each of his past five starts. Ike Davis homered for New York while manager Jerry Manuel was ejected for arguing a call as the Mets ended a run of 13 games in which they'd not score more than four runs. New York ended a streak of 17 scoreless innings when they took a 1-0 lead in the first. Dodgers starter Vicente Padilla (4-3) allowed six hits in seven innings. Cubs 5, Cardinals 0: In Chicago, Alfonso Soriano hit a two-run homer as Chicago shut out St. Louis. Reds 6, Astros 4: In Houston, Jay Bruce hit a go-ahead double in the eighth inning to lift Cincinnati over Houston. Giants 7, Diamondbacks 4: In Phoenix, Kelly Johnson hit for the cycle but it wasn't enough to overcome three costly Arizona errors that handed victory to San Francisco. Padres 5, Pirates 3: In Pittsburgh, Aaron Cunningham's triple started San Diego's four-run second inning which set up victory over Pittsburgh. Brewers 7, Nationals 5: In Milwaukee, Jim Edmonds replaced injured Corey Hart and hit a tiebreaking, two-run homer in the seventh inning to lift Milwaukee over Washington.
