Three persons were arrested on Tuesday for the theft of a Blackberry mobile telephone from a shop in the Al-Sharafiya District here. The assistant at the store shared the surprise of other customers as a 28-year-old man asked to see a Blackberry, and after stepping back and studying the unit suddenly ran out into the street and jumped into a car in which two other persons were waiting. Provided with a description of the thief and the vehicle, police took only five hours to identify the suspects who, after initially claiming to have no knowledge of the incident, then confessed to the robbery.
