Mercedes downs Al-Saudi by 13 runs

In the Afternoon Summer League of the Western Province Cricket Association (WPCA) Mercedes Benz defeated mighty Al-Saudi by 13 runs as Sufian blasted 90 in 65 balls in the team total of 171 for 7.
Al-Saudi could get to 158 as Sufian (2-28), Najam (2-53), Shaboor (2-18) and Saifuddin (2-29) struck vital blows.
Red Sea Paints racked up 242-4 with Imran Iqbal making 144 not out from 61 balls with 25 fours and 2 sixes. Salim Butt hit 39. Shahid took 2-7. In reply Pakistan XI was bowled out for 136 with Imran (3-9), Imran (Ali 3-16) and Saleem (2-15) dominating the show.
Hala International School was bowled out for 126 by SGB Baroom as Omar grabbed 4-22. SGBB batting first stroked 183-6 with Shoib making 55 in 42 balls and Waseeq hitting 30. Abdullah got 3-26 and Sabie took 2-17.
MCC was mercilessly thrashed by AOT Green by 103 runs as AOT batting first piled up 310 with Usman making 112 in 48 balls with 12 fours and 5 sixes. Jamil made 84 in 36 balls and Zeeshan scored 57 not out in 21 balls. Amir Shahzad stroked 53 in 25 balls and Jamil made 49 in 24 balls for MCC in a total of 207.
Other results:
Crown Blues defeated Nestle Milo. Nestle Milo 173 (Abdullah Zahid 80, Murtuza, Imran and Nadeem 2 wickets each). Crown Blues 176-3 (Nadeem 55 not out, Hasanat 38, Rashi 36).
SGB Baroom got the better of Usman Gems Tigers. (Umair 56, Sarfaraz and Kashif 2 wickets each, Rehan 60 n.o., Manjeet 48 n.o.).
Elaf Engineering lost to Al Saudi XI. Elaf 220 (Elaf Hasnain 50, Usman 55 n.o., Abbas and Adil 2 wickets each). Al Saudi XI 223-4 (Abbas 60 n.o., Nadeem 40, Qamar 3-54).
In the Morning Tournament Attieh defeated ATS by 4 wickets. ATS, batting first, came up with 149-6. Moazzam took 2-32 and Faiz had 2-37. Attieh made 154-6 in 17.1 over. Ashfaq stroked 77 not out and Furqan scalped 3-27.
Universal Coil won against Patel XI. PISJ ES had the last laugh against Nesma Holding by 9 wickets. PISJ ES responded with 126-1 in 12 overs as Saqib stroked 61 not out and Tahir made 38.
Earlier Ahmed demolished Nesma for 124 with a haul of 5-25.
In the last week matches Attieh Steel defeated Usman Gems Blue by 118 runs as Shahid made 63 in 36 balls and Kashif hit 40. Atta and Javed had 2 wickets each. Usman Gems Blue responded with 83 as Shahid grabbed 4-7 and Shakil and Kashif took 2 wickets each.
ATS won against Mohtarif by 6 wickets. ATS in response to Mohtarif's 189 made 190
