The Oklahoma City University will start academic cooperation program with Rabigh Business College soon. This was revealed during a meeting between Prof. Osama S. Tayyeb, King Abdulaziz University President, Dr. Abdalelah Saaty, Dean of Rabigh Business College, and Prof. Mahmood Shandiz, Senior Associate Dean of Meinders School of Business at Oklahoma City University, here Sunday. The cooperation program aims to develop the academic skills of teaching staff and curriculum of Rabigh Business College. “We will try to develop the academic programs first and the training course of students will be the second step,” said Prof. Shandiz . He added that the students can finish the business program within two years. “We have more than 168 students from Saudi Arabia and 99 percent of them have good academic record as they finish the course on time,” he said. “Through this program we want to get international academic accreditation,” Dr. Saaty told Saudi Gazette. The Rabigh college will be the first institution in the Kingdom to offer master's degree in sports management. “Sports field in the Kingdom needs this major as it will provide qualified staff to manage the football clubs,” Dr. Saaty said. The Oklahoma City University will also create a special evaluation program for the teaching staff depending on the most modern ways of academic evaluation with the use of latest technology. Meanwhile, the Rabigh Business College offers its students seven different majors according to the needs of market. They include accounting, management information system, law, marketing, health services management, human resources management, and finance.
