year-old woman from Umluj had two lucky escapes the same day recently when she was bitten by a scorpion and then was involved in a car accident while on the way to hospital. The lady was reportedly bitten in the back of the neck as she slept, and her screams alerted her grandsons who killed the beast and administered first aid treatment before taking her to hospital. On the way, however, their vehicle was involved in an accident with a truck, and the three completed their trip by ambulance. Umluj General Hospital said that all persons involved were discharged soon after in good health.
