India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni signed a $42 million marketing deal for two years with a talent management company, enriching the world's highest paid cricketer. Rhiti Sports Management and advertising agency Mindscapes will co-manage Dhoni's endorsements and brand associations, corporate profile, digital rights and social networking sites through a joint venture, the Press Trust of India news agency reported Tuesday. “We have entered into a two-year contract with Dhoni for 2 billion rupees. We have signed the contract a week back. We will be handling Dhoni's endorsements,” Rhiti Sports general manager Sanjay Pandey told PTI. Pandey was not immediately available for comment. The deal surpasses Sachin Tendulkar's $40 million three-year contract with sports management firm Iconix in 2006, PTI said. Dhoni is associated with 22 brands including PepsiCo, Reebok, Aircel and Godrej. Last week, he married hotel management student Sakshi Singh Rawat in the northern Indian town of Dehra Dun.
