Foreign Minister Prince Saud Al-Faisal will meet French counterpart Bernard Kouchner Monday, the French foreign ministry said Sunday. The two foreign ministers will discuss bilateral relations as well as international and regional issues. Prince Saud will also open an exhibition of Saudi archaeological treasures at the Louvre Museum, the ministry added. The “Roads to Arabia” exhibition, which will run until Sept. 17, will showcase more than 300 artifacts shedding light on the vast history, culture and civilization of the Kingdom through the ages. King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, was scheduled to open the exhibition but his visit was postponed. The visit “has been postponed to a date to be determined, at the earliest time convenient for the two sides”, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported, citing a government official. The exhibition will also tour a number of European and US cities. The exhibition's objective is to highlight the Kingdom's historical position and introduce its civilization to the world.
