Several Taif coffee shop owners whose shops were closed by Al-Hada Municipality are planning to file court cases to lift the closure and receive compensation for their losses. The owners' lawyer, Ahmad Bin Khaled Al-Sudairi, said his clients' shops were closed because of false claims that they were annoying neighbors because they serve Shisha. Al-Sudairi said he is finalizing documents required for the lawsuit at the Administrative Court. He said closure decision was not based on regulations, but is due “to the mood and interests of the mayoralty staff, one of whom owns a residential building in Al-Hada and another owns a shop located in front of one of my clients' shop.”
