Adel Fakeih, Mayor of Jeddah and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Savola Company, honored the first batch of 100 male and female graduates from the training and employment program of the Savola Center for Empowering Persons with Disabilities. A documentary on the training programs and suggestions on how people with special needs can break social barriers was also shown on the sidelines of the graduating ceremony at the Jeddah Hilton, Tuesday. The documentary also dwelt on the social responsibility toward people with special needs. “Disability is not difficult to beat. However, if we want to beat it we have to provide special training programs along with suitable job opportunities for these unfortunate people,” Faten Al-Yafi, , Executive Director of CSR and supervisor of the program, said. She added that a website has been launched which provides information about the available training programs and job opportunities provided by the Savola Center. “I would like to thank our mother Faten Al-Yafi who played a vital role in motivating us during the program. She always asked about every student in the program and provided every kind of help in order to prove to the community that we can be productive people,” Abdullah Al-Mouwallad said on behalf of the graduates. Abdulraoof Manna, Managing Director of Savola Group, said the program “provides a bridge between the company and the community”.
