Qaffari, official spokesman of the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice (the Hai'a), said training and courses for Hai'a personnel are designed to develop skills and upgrade the standard of staff, especially those working in the field. Courses, which were prepared by the King Abdul Aziz Center for National Dialogue and other institutions, are given every two months and a group of Hai'a personnel is chosen to attend them, he said. Attendees are trained on how to communicate and hold a dialogue with others, said Al-Qaffari, who added that the courses are based on an earlier agreement the Hai'a signed with the national dialogue center. Al-Qaffari confirmed that the Hai'a strove to sign an agreement with the Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities to give its staff additional courses on how to deal with the public. There are also memorandums of understanding signed with the Diplomatic Institute, King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals and other institutions to give Hai'a staff further training, said Al-Qaffari, who related that there is an integrated system through which the Hai'a strives to improve its work.
