Al Abeer Medical and Diagnostic Center's branch in Makkah has become operational this week. With experienced doctors from different countries and equipped with advanced facilities, the center has started extending its services to the pilgrims of the holy city. Addressing a press conference here on the eve of the opening of the Makkah branch, Al Abeer chairman Alungal Muhammad said: “Our mission to bring affordable quality health care is accomplished with the new medical center. We consider ourselves extremely privileged to establish a medical facility in Makkah to take care of the local public and pilgrims,” he said. “Al Abeer is open 365 days for the pilgrims and provide all the facilities they need, though the pilgrims come under the supervision of the government but during the Haj season if they need any medical care we are ready to offer them free of cost,” he said. “The state-of-the-art facility has all the look of a hospital. We intend to transform this center into a hospital in future,” he said. Dr. Hussein Darwish, medical director of the new center said Al Abeer will provide all possible medical services to pilgrims and other patients, especially those facing financial difficulties.
