A man suspected of kidnapping and raping a housemaid here Friday night was arrested barely two hours after the crime. Al-Hawyyah Police had received a report that a housemaid was kidnapped while walking from her sponsor's home to a neighborhood grocery store. The police immediately began searching for the culprits despite lack of information on their identities. An intensive search operation led to the arrest of one of the accused from a rest house. The arrested man was allegedly driving the car used in kidnapping. Search is on for the other suspects. The maid reportedly told the police that unidentified men forced her inside their car, took her to a rest house and raped her before dumping her on a street. The victim is still being questioned for verification of her story, Major Turki Al-Shehri, Taif Police spokesman, said.
