The Council of Ministers has once again returned real estate mortgage regulations to the Shoura Council due to differing opinions about some of the regulation's articles. The Shoura Council is expected to discuss the regulation for a second time and make its final decision on the differing views about joint regulations for real estate financing, monitoring financing companies and hiring. Informed sources told Okaz that the councils have different beliefs about a number of articles, the most prominent of which is one that would force banks to create private companies to rent property. According to the Shoura Council regulation, because the regulation has been returned to the Shoura for the second time, the regulation would then be referred to the King for his decision. In another development, Jeddah is scheduled to host a training program “The bases for professionalism in real estate activity,” for men and women. Saleh Bin Muhammad Al-Amri, a real estate consultant, will present the program. This two-day program, considered to be the first training program that enables women to enter the real estate field, will be provided through closed circuit TV supervised by the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation. Topics include the definition of real estate activity and its various forms, types of real estate, the need for real estate and priorities of need. The program will also provide information about common and modern real estate terms and related transactions, inspecting real estate and scrutinizing real estate documents, among other topics.
