The Pakistan International School Jeddah (English Section) celebrated its 15th anniversary on June 24 at the school premises. Chief guest was Tariq Mishkhas, managing editor of Urdu News. Sehar Kamran, PISJ principal, welcomed the guests and said she was satisfied with the school's accomplishments over the past 15 years. “It's a great day to celebrate and be proud of this school, which was founded by Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto in 1995. Starting with 15 classrooms it now boasts of a huge campus with 100 rooms and thousands of students with all the facilities that any international institution should have,” she said. She declared confirmation of the Executive Student Council on the occasion and announced that the school's undergraduate program will start in September. At the end of the program, a cake-cutting ceremony was held with the awarding of appreciation certificates to the school's pioneer teachers. Appreciation awards were given to the chief guest Tariq Mishkhas and Akmal Sayeed for their support. Raga Boys Wali Hamid Ali, Niyab Khan, Ahmed Hassan, Inam Khan and the famous Pakistani Band entertained the audience with their music. The Raga Boys also sang a special song they composed for the PISJ. “Barna hai hamy agay barna hai, Sary Khwaboon ko pura kerna hai, Hamain Sikhata hai PISJ. (We have to go ahead, we have to accomplish all our dreams, and we have to learn more from PISJ.”
