Saudi Aramco has signed a medical services contract with a leading specialist hospital that will provide medical services to its employees and their families. The contract was signed with Saad Specialist Hospital for a period of five years. The contract provides Saudi Aramco employees with overall preventive medical services and treatment. Signatories of the contract were Dr. Richard Pierer, the Executive Director of Medical Services at Saudi Aramco, and Dr. Ahmed Al Ali, Deputy Executive Director of Saad Specialist Hospital in Al-Khobar. “We have signed the contract due to the recognized role of Saad Hospitalin supporting the health services of employees in the private sector,” said Pierer. Saad Hospital has already started receiving Saudi Aramco employees and their families for medical treatment. Under the contract, Saudi Aramco employees and their families will receive comprehensive, preventive, curative and specialized services ofSaad Hospital's internationally recognized technical facilities and medical staff. Saad Specialist Hospital has received the Australian Council of Health Care Standards International (ACHSI) award, the American Association Joint Commission of International Accreditation (JCIA) award, and the Canadian Council on Health Services Accreditation (CCHSA) award, in addition to the recognition of the American Association of Blood Banks (AABB), and the College of American Pathologists (CAP). Saudi Aramco had earlier signed a contract with Saad Hospital for the transfer of patients in need of specialized services.
