More persons are expected to be summoned over the next few days to face questioning by committees investigating the November 2009 Jeddah flood disaster, Al-Hayat Arabic daily reported Saturday. The paper said that investigators had not revealed the total number of persons questioned so far over the disaster, but cited a source putting the figure at over 50. The Board of Investigation and Prosecution officially took on files of the cases on Nov. 25, 2009, and sources have previously said that the Ministry of Justice was considering tasking a number of judges from Jeddah's Summary and General courts to try the cases.
