In line with its policy of recognizing and appreciating the stupendous work done by its employees, Okaz Organization for Press and Publication on Sunday honored its outstanding staff members. The event was attended by Okaz Director General Waleed Kattan and board members Sheikh Ahmad Zeidan, Ali Al-Rabeghi, Engineer Yahia Koshak, Dr. Adulaziz Hassanein, Dr. Tareq Fad'aq. Dr. Othman Abdou Hashem, Acting Editor-in-Chief of Okaz, Dr. Muhammed N. Shoukani, Acting Editor-in- Chief of Saudi Gazette, Assistant Director General for Marketing Abdulaziz Al-Sahli, artist Abdullah Rashad, Dr. Ma'an Al-Jarba, Director of the Cultural Information Center, and Saudi fashion designer Siraj Sanad. Addressing the gathering, Waleed Kattan lauded the efforts of Okaz newspaper which has upheld the banner of free speech for half a century. Over the years, Waleed Kattan said, Okaz has protected its values. He said the annual honoring of deserving employees comes as a recognition of their outstanding efforts. Those getting this year's "Man of the Year" awards are: Qaed Abdullah Ali Al-Ja'rah, Ibrahim Abdullah Mohammed Aqeeli, Khalid Rashed Rasheed Al-Shallahi, Liyaqat Hussain Vanu, Ali Ateeq Awadhallah Al-Harbi, Wafa Mohammed Ibrahim Badawood, Al-Shafie Mohammed Sadiq Mohammed, Maha Sami Mohammed Abul Ula, Sulaiman Ibrahim Abdul Kareem Al-Nafe', Yasser Mohammed Hamdan Al-Ghamdi, Othman Talib Humaid Al-Sa'edi, Hamdi Mohammed Abubakr Bashaweeh, Mohammed Ahmed Ali Qootah and Samer Mohammed Saleh Nugali.
