A scholarship student from Taiba University has won the prestigious American Boeing Encouragement Prize for his design of a cost-saving device for the oil industry. Ramzi Al-Ahmadi designed a tool for increasing the flow of oil from below the ground to the surface, at a low cost. Taiba University had sent Al-Ahmadi on a scholarship, as part of the 3+1 program to Pennsylvania State University, where he presented his graduation project. This project won the prize out of 114 projects entered by the colleges of American universities. Prince Abdul Aziz Bin Majed Bin Abdul Aziz, Emir of Madina Region, congratulated Dr. Mansour Al-Nuzha, President of Taiba University, on the award to the student. In a letter sent to Al-Nuzha, the Emir blessed the student's invention, which was praised in world scientific circles. He said he valued the university's attention to programs that achieve progress in the field of science and engineering. He also welcomed the university's determination to have its students gain professional experience at prestigious universities. This benefits the nation and boosts its progress. In another development, the Emir congratulated Dr. Tenaidhib Al-Faidi, Director General of Education in Madina Region, of the General Administration for Boys' Education in Madina, for winning first place among all education administrations in the Kingdom's regions and governorates. This was for the Holy Qur'an and Islamic Research contests of 2009-10. The contests were organized recently by the Education Administration in Al-Jouf Region. He also congratulated the region's students for their outstanding achievement and wished them success.
