Princess Adila Bint Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz has stressed that all Saudi women should have a national identity card for their own security. “The national identity card is a national and vital duty. All female Saudis should take the initiative to obtain it, as it is a security necessity.” This comment from Princess Adila coincides with the issue of new cards for the Girls' Education department in Riyadh, in collaboration with the Directorate General for Civil Status in Riyadh. About 400 of its female personnel will be issued cards through a mobile unit of the Civil Status. Fawzia Al-Khamis, Head of the Protocol and External Relations Unit at the Girls' Education department, said the procedures were carried out in an organized manner for its female employees at their place of work. This is because their official working hours coincides with those of the Civil Status.
