Seven persons were injured in Buraidah at the weekend when the vehicle they were traveling in plunged eight meters into a channel being dug for sewer works. The car had reportedly been involved in a collision with another vehicle, forcing it off the road and into the narrow channel. In Sha'f Lajwan near Ahad Rufaidah, meanwhile, a truck landed head first into works on a subterranean water storage tank. The driver of the vehicle, who was in a nearby shop at the time, had parked at a space overlooking the worksite, but during his absence the truck rolled from its position and crashed vertically onto the construction framework. No casualties were reported.
