Sixteen Saudi female small business owners displayed 51 projects at the “Fair Hands” exhibition here last week, held under the patronage of Princess Sita Bint Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz. The three-day expo at the Hilton Hotel, which aimed at providing Saudi businesswomen with a chance to showcase their handmade products and creations, was attended by over 1,000 enthusiasts. Organized by the 4M Foundation with the cooperation of the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI), the exhibition reflected the keen interest of female businesswomen to support and contribute to the development of the country's economy,” said Maya Halfavi, Director General of the foundation. JCCI board member Dr. Aisha Natto said the expo aimed at helping Saudi businesswomen to prove themselves. Many organizations, Natto said, such as the JCCI, Bab Rizq Jameel, Maviya, the Zamil Company and the Prince Sultan Project Fund, will help these women launch their products in the local market and assist them in the development of their business projects. Nora Saheli, Deputy Director General of the 4M Foundation, said that the exhibition provided businesswomen with all the necessary services under one roof and allowed them the freedom of choice with ease. “Small businesses will contribute to the reduction of unemployment and a large proportion of the national economy will get a boost,” she said.
