All nine batters in the Mets' starting lineup had a hit. New York has won 10 of 11 and is a major league-best 17-5 since May 21 to move from last place in the NL East to challenging for first place. Jonathon Niese (4-3) won his third straight start, extending the Mets' string of strong pitching during their streak. New York starters are 16-3 with a 2.61 ERA over 27 games since May 17. Braves 6, Rays 2: At Atlanta, Tommy Hanson pitched seven scoreless innings and Troy Glaus drove in two runs as Atlanta returned to its winning ways at home with a victory over Tampa Bay. Atlanta has won 10 of 11 at Turner Field and is 20-7 overall there this season. One night after stranding 14 runners in a 10-4 loss to the Rays, the Braves took a 3-0 lead with two outs in the third on Brian McCann's RBI double and Glaus' two-run single. Phillies 6, Yankees 3: At New York, Jamie Moyer worked eight sharp innings to become the oldest pitcher to beat the Yankees, as the 47-year-old left-hander bounced back from the worst start of his career to pitch Philadelphia past New York. Shane Victorino hit a bases-loaded triple, and Ryan Howard and Jayson Werth hit the Phillies' first back-to-back homers of the season to end the Yankees' nine-game home winning streak. Philadelphia roughed up A.J. Burnett (6-5) for only its ninth win in 26 games, a stretch that has dropped them into third place in the NL East. Alex Rodriguez returned to the Yankees' lineup after missing four games because of tendinitis in his right hip and went 1 for 3 with a walk and an RBI double as the designated hitter. Giants 6, Orioles 3: At San Francisco, Tim Lincecum struck out 10 batters before getting hit in the back of the right shoulder by a line drive and leaving after six innings as San Francisco beat Baltimore. Dodgers 6, Reds 2: At Cincinnati, Andre Ethier hit his first home run since breaking his finger and Clayton Kershaw outpitched rookie Mike Leake to lead the Los Angeles Dodgers over slumping Cincinnati in the only National League game on the night. Kershaw (7-3) won a matchup of promising, 22-year-old starters, giving up one run and seven hits in 7 1-3 innings. Ethier's homer off Leake (5-1) helped send him to his first loss in the majors. Manny Ramirez added a solo homer in the ninth, his second in two days. He also threw out catcher Ramon Hernandez at the plate as he tried to score from second base on a single in the fifth inning.
