A 36-year-old man was foiled in his attempt to abduct a seven-year-old girl when his vehicle was involved in a car accident on Sunday. Police were informed by a Saudi man that his daughter had been abducted from in front of her primary school close to her home and sent out patrols who soon located the vehicle. Before officers could intervene, however, the abductor's car crashed into a school bus. The suspect and the child were both unharmed. According to the Al-Jouf Police spokesman, the man was in a state of inebriation at the time of the incident. “The suspect was taken into custody,” said Daman Al-Dar'an. “He has a previous criminal record.”
